The National COVID-19 Coordination Commission (NCCC) has announced that the Charity, Philanthropy and Fundraising Advisory Group, will be advising the Commission on ways to mitigate the social and economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Commission has two key roles: to help minimise and mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 on jobs and businesses, and to facilitate the fastest possible recovery of lives and livelihoods.
The advisory group will help identify opportunities for NFPs to contribute to the community now and in the rebuilding phase of the pandemic.
It will also look at how vulnerable people can effectively participate in Australia’s economic recovery efforts.
